Precautions for Using the Diaphragm Filter Press

Operator Familiarization

The operator must be familiar with the instruction manual and operate, adjust, use, and maintain the machine in strict accordance with its requirements.

Filter Cloth Selection

Choose high-quality filter cloth that is free of damage, with smooth and wrinkle-free sealing surfaces.

Regular Safety Checks

Regularly inspect whether the machine parts are securely installed, the fasteners are tightened, and the hydraulic system is leak-free. Ensure the transmission parts are flexible and reliable.

Hydraulic Oil Quality

Regularly check the hydraulic oil quality to ensure the oil level meets the requirements and that the oil is pure. Keep the hydraulic system area clean, waterproof, and dustproof.

Startup Monitoring

After each startup, carefully observe the machine’s working condition. If any abnormalities occur, stop the machine immediately for maintenance.

Oil Temperature and Maintenance

The oil temperature in the oil tank should not exceed 60°C. Ensure there is no water or dust in the oil tank. The oil filter on the hydraulic station should be cleaned regularly. Test the insulation performance of the electrical control part once a month. Replace or repair any damaged electrical components.

Oil Tank Maintenance

After one month of use, the oil tank, oil circuit, and oil cylinder should be cleaned and replaced with new, qualified oil. Afterward, perform this maintenance every six months.

Operational Limits

During operation, the filtering pressure, compacting pressure, and liquid temperature should not exceed the specified values. Do not start the machine when there is no plate rack or if the clamping plate displacement exceeds the piston stroke.

Winter Startup

When starting the oil pump in winter, heat the hydraulic oil as needed. Use low-freezing point hydraulic oil in cold regions. Only begin operation when the oil temperature rises above 15°C.

Prohibition of Adjustments During Operation

Do not adjust the equipment when it is in a working state. Never start the machine when the pressure gauge is damaged or not installed.

New Oil Pipeline Precaution

Do not approach high-pressure oil pipelines when starting a new pipeline.

Mechanical Compaction Filter Press Use

When using a mechanical compaction filter press, ensure the compaction condition is regularly checked. Avoid long-term overload, as it may cause motor burnout or part damage.

Entrance and Exit Passage Checks

Regularly check and clean the entrance and exit passages to ensure they remain unobstructed.

Slag Discharge and Cleaning

When discharging slag, clean the filter cloth and plate frame as needed to ensure the sealing surface remains free of debris.

Lubrication

Lubricate parts in relative motion frequently.

Long-Term Storage

When the machine is out of service for a long period, store it in a ventilated, dry room. Fill the hydraulic system with oil and coat any leaking surfaces with anti-rust oil. The storage room should have a relative humidity of less than 80% and a temperature range of -15°C to 40°C.

Protection of Filter Plates and Frames

Do not allow the filter plates and frames to come into contact with oil, acid, alkali, or other substances that can damage them. Keep them away from heat sources, and protect them from sunlight and rain.

Membrane Pressing Precautions

Before pressing the membrane, ensure the filter chamber is fully filled. After pressing the membrane, open the filter plate to discharge the material to prevent diaphragm rupture. Regularly check the compressed air pipeline. If any air pipes fall off or leak, immediately close the air inlet valve and open the air valve. The machine can be used again after repairs.
