Causes of Filter Plate Damage

Blockage of the Feed Port

When the slurry is too thick or contains residual dry blocks,it can lead to blockage of the feed port.In this case,there is no medium between the filter plates,leaving only the pressure from the hydraulic system.The filter plate itself may become damaged due to prolonged compression.

Insufficient or Improper Supply

If the supply is insufficient or contains improper solid particles,the excessive force on the filter plate can cause damage.

Blocked Oil Outlet or Closed Valves

If the oil outlet is blocked by solids or the supply valve or discharge valve is closed when starting,pressure cannot be released,leading to damage.

Filter Cloth Not Cleaned Properly

If the filter cloth is not cleaned,it may cause media leakage.Once leakage occurs,the edges of the filter plate may be eroded by the leaked medium,preventing pressure buildup and proper filter cake formation.

Solutions

✅Use a nylon cleaning scraper to remove sludge from the feed port.

✅Complete the current cycle and reduce the volume of the filter plates in the press.

✅Inspect the filter cloth,clean the drain outlet,check the outlet valves,and open the corresponding valves to release pressure.

✅Thoroughly clean the filter plates and repair high-pressure diaphragm filter plates if necessary.
