How to Maintain a Chamber Filter Press

To ensure the normal operation of a chamber filter press and extend its service life, daily maintenance is essential. Before using the filter press, operators must carefully read the operation manual and instruction guide, familiarize themselves with the machine structure and working principles, and ensure that operating parameters remain within the specified range. It is also important to keep detailed records of the equipment’s operation and any issues encountered.

If a malfunction occurs, repair it immediately—never operate the machine in a faulty condition. After each operation, remove any residue from the equipment to keep the filter press clean. Moving parts must remain clean and well-lubricated.

Operators should regularly check the sealing surfaces of the filter plates to ensure they are clean and intact. Also, inspect the filter cloth for folds and make sure the holes in the filter cloth and filter plates are aligned properly.

A tight seal on the filter plates is essential for the proper operation of the press. Special attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the hydraulic system oil, with regular oil replacements. Frequent inspections of hydraulic components, interfaces, and pipeline seals are also necessary.

For filter presses operating in corrosive or humid environments, electrical components should be protected from corrosion and moisture. Regular insulation and reliability checks must be conducted, and any malfunctioning or inaccurate components should be immediately repaired or replaced.

The automatic plate pulling system is prone to accumulating slurry and filter residue, which can increase resistance and cause rusting. Therefore, these residues must be removed promptly. Chains and other moving parts should be lubricated regularly.

If the chamber filter press is not in use for an extended period, the filter plates should be cleaned and stacked flat to prevent deformation. The filter cloth should be cleaned and dried, while piston rods and other metal components should be coated with oil to prevent rust.
