Filter Press Operation and Maintenance Procedures

Before operation, inspect the filter plate, filter cloth, hydraulic station, water outlet valve, and other components to ensure safe and reliable use. Open the explosion-proof switch mechanical lock, turn on the power, and press the start button on the operation control cabinet. Once powered on, the indicator light will illuminate. The filter press plate advances simultaneously, forming a high-pressure state.

During operation, the filter plate is pressed and maintained under high pressure. When the oil pressure in the cylinder reaches 14MPa, as set by the electric contact pressure gauge, the high-pressure pump stops after a delay of 15 to 20 seconds. If the pressure drops to the lower limit of 12MPa due to liquid leakage or other reasons, the high-pressure pump automatically restarts to replenish oil and maintain the cylinder's self-protection compression force.

Monitor the slurry position in the concentration tower, start the single screw pump, open the hydraulic feed valve of the filter press, and begin feeding. Observe the feed pressure gauge and adjust the bypass valve to maintain the pressure below 0.4MPa, ensuring that the pressure at the rear end of the oil cylinder remains below 14MPa. During the filtration process, operators must continuously monitor, observe, and adjust the pressure.

If mud is discharged from the liquid outlet valve, close it and replace the filter cloth. If mud leaks between the filter plates, stop the machine immediately, flatten the filter cloth, and resume filtration. After 40 minutes of filtration, when the liquid output decreases, stop the single screw pump, close the feed valve, and open the feed gate valve. Blow air into the machine for 15 minutes to dry the coal sludge between the filter plates, then close the feed gate valve.
