The diaphragm filter press is widely used in biochemical industries, food and pharmaceutical industries, spraying sewage treatment, and other fields. The high-pressure diaphragm filter press is a solid-liquid separation device that integrates mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components, including filters, hydraulic presses, castings, and control appliances. A key feature of its filter plate is the ability to perform secondary dry extraction of anaerobic granular sludge. Its uniquely designed filter chamber allows for the automatic closure of the feed valve after the chamber is filled with sludge. Then, steam or liquid enters the chamber, causing the filter cloth to expand and deform, achieving secondary sludge extraction and further reducing water content.

Principle of Diaphragm Filter Press

The frame of the diaphragm filter press serves as the foundation of the entire equipment, mainly supporting the filter structure. It consists of a thrust plate, clamp plate, motor shaft, hydraulic cylinder body, and load-bearing beam. During operation, the hydraulic cylinder pushes the clamp plate, securing the diaphragm plate, filter plate, and filter cloth between the clamp plate and the thrust plate. This ensures that the filter pulp can be pressurized and filled into the filter chamber for filtration.

The diaphragm filter press primarily comprises two reducers, rotating shafts, sprocket chains, transmission chains, and other components. When the pressure plate is loosened, the fulcrum seat motor operates, driving the hydraulic cylinder seat and pressure plate through the sprocket and transmission chains to open the filter plate. The thrust plate motor then activates, pushing the baffle to open the second section of the filter plate, flipping it according to the signal transmitted from the electrical cabinet. This sequentially opens the remaining filter plates, marking the completion of the entire filtration process.

Filtration Process

The filtration section of the diaphragm filter press consists of a diaphragm filter press plate, a box filter press plate, and a filter cloth sandwiched between them. These components are neatly arranged on the load-bearing beam. During filtration, the filter slurry is pumped into each filter chamber through the feed port under the thrust plate. The solid particles remain in the chamber, forming anaerobic granular sludge, while the filtrate is discharged through the outlet valve.

Environmental Impact of Hydraulic Oil Pollution

Hydraulic oil pollution poses a complex environmental challenge, as the oil itself continuously contributes to contamination. Completely preventing environmental pollution is difficult. To extend the service life of the hydraulic system, ensure its proper operation, and reduce leakage, it is essential to control oil pollution within acceptable limits.
