I. Product Overview

The Type 1500 polypropylene chamber filter plate is a key component for filter presses to perform solid-liquid separation. The "1500" usually represents the relevant size specifications of the filter plate. II. Product Structural Features

Dimension Specifications: The external dimensions of this filter plate are generally about 1500×1500mm, and the thickness usually ranges from 70mm to 90mm, depending on the actual design and usage requirements. The diameter of the central feeding hole is approximately 200mm. Chamber Structure Design: The filter plate has a chamber structure, with sealing grooves provided around it, where sealing rubber strips can be installed. When the filter press is in operation, adjacent filter plates fit closely together, and the sealing rubber strips play a sealing role to form a closed filter chamber, effectively preventing the leakage of filtrate. The surface of the filter plate is carefully designed with drainage grooves, which can guide the filtrate to flow smoothly out of the filter cloth and be discharged from the filter chamber through the drainage holes on the filter plate, ensuring the smooth progress of the entire filtration process.

Reinforcing Rib Design: In order to enhance the strength and rigidity of the filter plate, enabling it to withstand a large pressure without deforming or cracking during the filtration process, reasonably arranged reinforcing ribs are set on the surface or inside of the filter plate. These reinforcing ribs disperse the pressure, ensuring the stability and reliability of the filter plate during long-term use.

IV. Working Principle

Filtration Stage: After the filter press is started, a certain number of Type 1500 polypropylene chamber filter plates are closely arranged under the action of strong mechanical force, and the inner cavities between the filter plates form a filter chamber. The material to be filtered is conveyed into the filter chamber under the specified feeding pressure. The solid particles in the material are intercepted by the filter cloth and gradually form a filter cake on the surface of the filter plate; while the liquid part passes through the filter cloth, follows the drainage grooves on the surface of the filter plate, and is discharged from the filter chamber through the drainage holes, thus achieving solid-liquid separation.

Discharge Stage: After the filtration is completed, the pressure between the filter plates is reduced, and the filter plates are loosened. The filter cake falls off from the surface of the filter plate due to its own gravity or with the help of an auxiliary discharge device (such as a scraper, etc.), completing the discharge process and preparing for the next filtration cycle.

Chemical Industry: In the processes of chemical raw material production and chemical product purification, it is used to separate various suspension liquids, emulsions, and other materials, such as in the filtration during the production of dyes, pigments, pesticides, fertilizers, etc., effectively removing impurities and improving product purity.
